The LHC Awakening

While I realize that the planned circulation of beam in the LHC on Sept. 10 is just a tiny step on the way to full operations of the LHC, I wish my colleagues and friends at CERN the best as they push off the dock and embark on the next great journey in collider physics!

Steve Sekula is an Assistant Professor of Experimental Particle Physics at Southern Methodist University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004, and currently works on the BaBar Experiment at SLAC and the ATLAS Experiment at CERN.
