Sounds like the buzz is growing. It also sounds like a popular solution is to have &#8220;SLAC&#8221; continue to be the name, while probably standing for something other than &#8220;Stanford Linear Accelerator Center&#8221;. We&#8217;ll see.<\/p>\n<p>At least this solution prevents the lab from having to spend amounts of money and employee time to change all the web addresses of the lab! That seems like a lot of money to waste just to change a name.
