Well, I have a treat for you regular readers. Recently, while going through a bookshelf with old lab notebooks, I finally found the original adventures of my pet hamster. These will give you no insight into the reason for the name (well, maybe a little), but they will give you a sense of the evolution of this title&#8217;s application.<\/p>\n<p>The original &#8220;Adventures&#8221; were a short-lived attempt at writing a comic strip. Based on people I knew and some of my own experiences (much like this blog), I started writing the comic about a graduate student. There were 5 episodes. I think the first one has been lost, although I remember very well the content of that episode.
