We used to be in a band called Grushenka, which we started in 1995. Last night, we reviewed a bunch of early tapes we made (*never to be released*) to look for salvagable material from our first summer. We also listened to a demo tape that we cut thanks to the sound engineering talents of my college roommate, John (now lovingly called &#8220;The John Sessions&#8221;). It&#8217;s funny, to listen to yourself and your music years and years after the fact. The first thing that occurred to me was &#8220;that&#8217;s me?&#8221;, and the second was &#8220;I was a decent drummer at some point!&#8221;. Ego is great.<\/p>\n<p>\nWe started our evening of merriment at the old band hangout &#8211; the Cromwell Taco Bell (exit 19 off Rte. 9, two lefts).
