A man like Robertson, with the ear of the President, who professes that U.S. constitutional law is based on God&#8217;s law, decided to forego the basis of his own morality and in measured tones ask for the death of an elected leader.<\/p>\n<p>And now, the man whose death seemed so important to Pat Robertson is turning around and offering life to the U.S. &#8220;President Chavez has offered relief aid for the victims of Hurricane Katrina&#8221;:http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/s\/ap\/katrina_venezuela;_ylt=Aq6lhBJhkWQbd.TPSNUkbtas0NUE;_ylu=X3oDMTA2Z2szazkxBHNlYwN0bQ&#8211;.<br \/>\nYou may consider his offer politically convenient, but I could make the same argument for Pat Robertson&#8217;s call for assassination. Normalizing out the politics, it seems Chavez had the courage to follow Christian philosophy with more conviction than one its most outspoken, media-saavy professors. Bravo, Mr. Chavez.
