In this essay, Cardinal Christoph Sch\u00f6nborn suggested that the interpretation of evolution as a natural process occurring without the intervening hand of a creator is inconsistent with Church doctrine.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The New York Times is reporting&#8221;:http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2005\/07\/13\/national\/13pope.html?ex=1278907200&amp;en=32dfb3684cc66fe8&amp;ei=5089&amp;partner=rssyahoo&amp;emc=rss<br \/>\nthat several scientists, two of them Catholics, have authored a letter to the Pope asking him to clarify the Church&#8217;s stance. Lawrence Krauss is the one scientists if the three authors who is not Catholic.<\/p>\n<p>Galileo is probably groaning in his grave.
