The marathon training continues – for Jodi, of course. I’m just along for the ride. Today, Jodi had her 16 mile run. I biked along with her again, refilling water when necessary. The first thing that happened on her run today was that her water bottle, apparently ripe with soap residue from its last cleaning (by me), was sudsy when she took her first swig. Ew. I went ahead to a waystation on the Sawyer trail and rinsed the thing out, filling it finally with fresh water.
I wound up biking (so we estimate) 21 miles. That’s probably the most I’ve biked at one time in about 6 years. Needless to say, I’ve been completely run down all day. We did our usual breakfast at Stacks in Menlo Park, then came home for our nap time. Jodi slept like a baby, but I didn’t. I woke up feeling like somebody had pumped all the sugar out of my body and replaced it with glue. Whoever did that, I’LL GET YOU!
After a healthy dose of carbohydrates, Jodi and I felt better. We’re soon off for either Indian or Japanese food!
