What a great five days! My mother visited from Connecticut, for the first time coming to the Pacific coast of the U.S. Jodi and I were really happy to have a chance to spend time with her on our coast. Mom is heading back to CT this morning, and I probably won’t get to see her again until the Winter holidays.
After that, it’s back to SLAC and Stanford for me and Jodi, respectively. I have some serious issues to tackle regarding the BaBar background filter’s treatment of my signal, invisible decays of bottomonium. Let’s hope there’s a way to open up the filter to sensibly reject crap while preserving my career!
