I have never hinted at the meaning of this blog’s title – “The Adventures of My Pet Hamster”. Well, I have a treat for you regular readers. Recently, while going through a bookshelf with old lab notebooks, I finally found the original adventures of my pet hamster. These will give you no insight into the reason for the name (well, maybe a little), but they will give you a sense of the evolution of this title’s application.
The original “Adventures” were a short-lived attempt at writing a comic strip. Based on people I knew and some of my own experiences (much like this blog), I started writing the comic about a graduate student. There were 5 episodes. I think the first one has been lost, although I remember very well the content of that episode. If I ever find it, I’ll put it up here.
Meanwhile, enjoy the original “Adventures”, my faithful readers . . . whoever the hell you are.
