OK, maybe it’s a little much. But, I have to say that this collaboration meeting has been a real high when it comes to physics. Not only is BaBar in the first stages of Run 7, a solid 10-month run from now until next October, but there is so much rich physics at our fingertips that I can’t wait until the harvest of the winter conferences. I don’t normally say that – normally, I feel like conferences are a bit artificial. My thinking is simply altered by just how much of an exciting time this is in my field. With the imminent turn on of the LHC, the ramping up of the neutrino program in Japan, China, and the U.S., and the launch of a number of exciting astrophysics experiments on land and in space, and the hundreds of projects in progress at the flavor factories, it’s hard to NOT be excited.
So much data, so much physics, so little time in a lifetime. Ah.
