After two negative COVID-19 antigen tests this past week, I returned to in-person work. I kept myself masked in the office, especially when I was around anyone else. When alone in my own office, or eating in a more open public area, I lost the mask (unless someone showed up in closer quarters).
I feel pretty good now, and I don’t get tired in the afternoons anymore. It’s a relief to have passed through my first COVID-19 infection, and the next time I experience this I will be wiser. As with cold and flu, a COVID (managed with vaccination) infection is now something I understand a little better.
My symptoms are almost entirely gone. I’ll be losing the mask in public by the end of the weekend, unless it’s otherwise required. I’ll still wear one on some upcoming plane flights, but otherwise I am excited to be back to normal again.
