The Dark Matter Discoverer’s Guidebook

Updated October 28, 2024: I added information about the new companion website for the book!

We’ve launched! While the official release date of the book is October 31 (aka Dark Matter Day … aka Halloween!), it is now available to order. Copies should start arriving on or about October 31 (certainly, for the digital versions, the book will deliver that day).

Jodi and I cannot express how grateful we are to our mentors (especially our parents, one of whom cannot be here to mark this moment) and to our technical reviewers and our publisher. Thank you … thank you … THANK YOU for everything you did to make this launch possible!

You can learn more about the book from the publisher’s website,

and you can browse editions of the book on Amazon,

We appreciate the interest we’re already received from the community and we encourage people to check out the book and spread the word. We want dark matter to transform from a mystery to an opportunity, from a question to an answer. We hope this book helps people to do that.

Companion Website

We have started developing a companion website for the book:

Our intent is to use this to deliver news pertaining to the search for and study of dark matter, and to provide resources related to the book. Right now, we have a suggested example syllabus for any faculty looking to integrate the book into a special topics course.

Curious about what’s inside?

Check out this sneak peak of the Table of Contents of the book!
