Charley’s Pub, a popular hangout in St. Genis. They serve coffee in the morning.
Blue skies and bright clouds are the backdrop to this day.
Some flowers hang from the fountain in the plaza.

The open-air market in Ferney is PACKED on a Saturday morning. This is for good reason; there is lots of good food to choose from.
Decisions decisions. Some of the people in the group are buying a plate of fresh oysters to enjoy as the “big meal” of the day. Me? I’m sticking to kebab.
The fresh seafood at this tent is AMAZING.
The oyster plate this place produces is nothing short of art.
A band is using the statue at the heart of Ferney as their stage (actually, they’re standing on their own car and trailer). At this point, they were feverishly cranking out something that resembled Klezmer music.
The market begins to thin as the noon hour passes and tents begin to fold up. This is when good deals can be had on produce that otherwise will be discarded.
My lunch – a huge and delicious kebab. Thin-sliced lamb, lots of hot sauce and yogurt sauce, tomatoes, lettuce, onions. AWESOME.
