It warmed up just a little above freezing today, and the sun came out and played its light on the ice encasing the trees. It was a day for cold and for virtual teaching, as we continued to work remotely but classes moved forward. I dusted off my old remote teaching rig and, surprisingly, everything still worked fine. My iPad broadcasting to my Linux desktop allowed me to share handwriting and notes; my document camera, hacked together from a desk lamp, a camera stand, and a web cam with manual focus still allowed me to share handwriting on paper; OBS still made for a great virtual studio for sharing a camera feed, iPad, document camera, and desktop applications.
