Having just returned last night from Wisconsin, I find myself today in the San Jose airport waiting for my flight to the Tri-cities airport in Washington State. I had enough time to placate the cats, clean up the apartment a little (it was in excellent shape, actually, thanks to Roomba and a careful pre-trip cleaning last week), sleep, and re-pack.
It’s a mercifully short flight – about an hour to Portland, then about an hour to Washington. The meeting is being held at a national lab in Washington, PSSL, and the heads of many user groups from labs across the U.S. will be there. This is an annual event, a way to share the user experience at our diverse national labs and to find common solutions to problems of lab access, living space, and quality of life for users.
Oops. Flight is boarding. Gotta go.
